Getting Started with ULI Platform APIs

What is the ULI Platform?

The Unified Lending Interface (ULI) Platform, built by the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH), provides lenders with access to a wide range of APIs for identity verification, income verification, asset verification, credit eligibility, documentation execution, and more — all through a single, standardised integration.

Who can access the ULI Platform APIs?

Lenders who have been onboarded to the ULI Platform. Access to individual API services requires a separate subscription on the Dev Portal for each environment (Sandbox and Production).

What do I need to complete before I can use any ULI API?

All of the following must be completed before making API calls in any environment:

1. IP Whitelisting
2. URL Whitelisting
3. Platform Credentials
4. Service Subscription
5. JWT Token Generation

Each step is explained below.

How do I complete IP whitelisting?

Your system IPs must be whitelisted on the ULI Platform, and the Platform IPs must be whitelisted on your end.

• Share your IP addresses with the support team at support@rbihub.in — do this separately for Sandbox and Production.
• RBIH will share the Platform IPs to whitelist on your network during onboarding.
• Ensure whitelisting is completed at both ends before testing.

Which URLs do I need to whitelist?

Whitelist the following URLs in your network. This must be done separately for Sandbox and Production.

What credentials do I need?

After onboarding, you should have received a credentials email from RBIH containing:

• Public Key
• Client ID
• Client Secret
• Dev Portal login credentials
• Public Certificates

How do I subscribe to a specific API service?

1. Log in to the Dev Portal.
2. Find the API service you want to use.
3. Subscribe to it.
4. Repeat separately for Sandbox and Production.

How do I generate a JWT token?

All ULI Platform API calls require a JWT token in the Authorization header.

• Tokens are valid for 6 hours in both Sandbox and Production.
• Refer to the Authentication and Authorization API Specification document for generation steps.
• Authentication endpoint: https://auth.nonprod.rbihub.io/ (Sandbox) / https://auth.api.rbihub.io/ (Production).

Are there any API-specific prerequisites beyond these?

Yes. Some APIs require additional setup such as SSL certificates or PFX certificates. These are documented in the individual API articles. Always check the specific API guide before testing.
